According to The Wall Street Journal, the U.S. Air Force plans to revive its controversial push to retire the A-10 jet in the face of fierce opposition from lawmakers. Congress is set to reject the existing Air Force plan to save $3.5 billion by retiring the fleet of A-10 "Warthogs," which were used extensively to provide air support to ground troops in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The Airbus A400M new generation airlifter has performed successfully air-to-air refuelling tests with a F/A-18 Hornet fighter. The tanker test campaign was developed in five flights in which the A400M performed 33 dry contacts and dispensed 18.6 tonnes of fuel to an F/A-18 Hornet in 35 wet contacts.
The Airbus A400M new generation airlifter has performed successfully air-to-air refuelling tests with a F/A-18 Hornet fighter. India and Russia started on Monday, August 25, their first joint air exercise in Russia to boost cooperation between their air forces, said the Indian Air Force ( IAF). "Ex Avia Indra-2014 commenced today at Astrakhan region, near the Caspian Sea in Russia. The exercises will continue for 10 days and would be concluded on Sept. 5," an IAF release said.
