At Farnborough 2014 AirShow, AgustaWestland presents its AW101 configured for Personnel Recovery and Special Forces missions, designated the HH-101A “CAESAR”. In February 2014, AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company has announced that the first HH-101A “CAESAR” for the Italian Air Force made its maiden flight. According to AgustaWestland, first and the second aircraft will be delivered in the last quarter of 2014.

Storm Shadow, which provides long-range air to surface capabilities, is 1 of the most advanced missiles of its kind. It is capable of defeating various targets including bridges, airfields, harbours and parked aircraft. The missiles, produced by MBDA, have previously been deployed on Tornado GR4 aircraft during operations over Iraq and Libya. These will now be fitted onto Typhoon Tranche 2 and 3 aircraft ready to enter service with the RAF in 2018.

The Gripen NG takes the tried and tested elements of the Gripen design and improves on these during the creation of a new aircraft with a more powerful General Electric F414G engine with the ability to supercruise. Its redesigned airframe operates at higher weights, allowing more fuel and weapons to be carried.

Thales unveiled a new precision-guided air dropped munition, the FreeFall Lightweight Multi-role Missile (FFLMM) during the Farnborough International Airshow 2014. The FFLMM is a precision-guided glide munition. It contains the same sophisticated warhead as Thales's existing LMM, but is approximately half the size and weight because it does not incorporate a rocket motor.

Raytheon Company announced during the Farnborough 2014 International Airshow that it has been awarded an $80,768,012 firm-fixed-price and cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for the Lot 7 Miniature Air Launched Decoy Jammer (MALD-J) missile (200 each) to include: data, mission planning, process verification program, and operational flight software.
