Boeing's [NYSE: BA] liquid hydrogen-powered Phantom Eye unmanned airborne system completed its second flight Feb. 25, demonstrating capabilities that will allow it to perform intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) missions for up to four days without refueling.

Indonesian air forces recently received two of the six Sukhoi Su-30 MKII fighter jets it ordered from Russia, lifting its Sukhoi family aircrafts in operation to 12. The delivery of the two Su-30 MKIIs was conducted late last week, and the fighters arrived in Indonesia's Hasanuddin air force base in Makassar, South Sulawesi province on Friday, February 22, 2013, evening.

Boeing's [NYSE: BA] liquid hydrogen-powered Phantom Eye unmanned aircraft system has completed taxi testing at Edwards Air Force Base in California as it progresses toward its second flight. During the testing, which occurred Feb. 6, the Phantom Eye demonstrator aircraft sitting atop its launch cart reached speeds up to 40 knots, or approximately 46 miles per hour.

On Jan. 26, China successfully completed the maiden flight of Y-20, a heavy military freighter independently developed by China. It is reported that part of the interior components of the Y-20 are made of the anti-flaming glass fiber reinforced epoxy resin and glass fiber reinforced phenolic resin prepreg composite, the development of which was led by the No. 703 office of No.1 institute of CASC and with the joint participation of many other units of this cooperation.

The fighter jet is Iranian made and all its parts, from A to Z, have been manufactured domestically," Hassan Parvaneh told Iran's state-run TV. "Its shape and structure is completely unique and peerless," he added.
