MAKS 2021: Rosoboronexport signed 13 export contracts worth 1 billion euro


Russian state arms export defense agency Rosoboronexport signed 13 export contracts worth 1 billion euro at MAKS-2021 airshow, company CEO Alexander Mikheev said.

“Rosoboronexport used MAKS potential to sign 13 export contracts for Russian military products worth over one billion euro. The portfolio of orders and production plans of the military-defense complex include Su-30SME jets, Mi-35M and Mi-17V5 helicopters, Protivnik-GE radars, Verba MANPADS, modern air weapons, armor and automobiles,” he said.

Rosoboronexport presented samples of aircraft, helicopters, air defense and electronic warfare systems to over 30 delegations from 20 countries.

“Foreign partners were interested in acquiring MiG-35D and Su-30SME fighter jets, Il-76MD-90A (E) airlifters, Mi-28NE and Ka-52 helicopter gunships, Mi-171Sh and Ka-226T helicopters, as well as air defense systems, including Pantsir-S,” he said.

The company discussed joint and licensed production of Russian combat aircraft and helicopters, as well as modernization of supplied hardware with customers from Asia and the Pacific Rim, the Middle East, Africa, and the CIS.

Mikheev said partners displayed interest in the latest Checkmate light tactical jet. “They had a chance to sit in the cockpit and praised the characteristics,” he said.
