In the context of modernizing the medium-and long-range fleet of the FMOD special air mission wing, the Bundeswehr Technical and Airworthiness Center for Aircraft (WTD 61) in Manching has issued airworthiness certificates for 4 new aircraft of the Bombardier Global 5000 type. Several special retrofits and modifications on the Challenger successor required appropriate tests and demonstrations in order to facilitate certification.
