During LIMA 2015 exhibition, Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft officially announced it has signed a contract for the delivery of five Pilatus PC-7 Mk II Turbo Trainer aircraft. The contract has been concluded with a non-revealed customer for a total amount of $44.68 mn.

Unveiled in July 2014, BAE Systems' Striker II digital helmet-mounted display system will soon start a serie of live tests, scheduled for April 2015. Highlighted during LIMA '15 on the Eurofighter Typhoon's booth, the Striker II HMD system is a new, fully digital solution that provides today’s combat pilot with exceptional night vision and target tracking technology, integrated within a visor-projected system.

Sikorsky, Mycopter Aviation Service to launch first S-76 helicopter support center in Southeast Asia
 
Sikorsky has appointed Mycopter Aviation Services to become the first Sikorsky-authorized Customer Support Center in Southeast Asia for Sikorsky's S-76 line of medium-size commercial helicopters. Operating from Mycopter's facility at Subang Airport, Malaysia, the CSC will bring Sikorsky-qualified maintenance services to a region where operators currently fly almost 50 S-76s, and where customers will have an opportunity to flight-test the latest model, the S-76D helicopter, on display at LIMA '15.

Airbus Helicopters today signed a contract with Aerial Power Lines Sdn Bhd (APL) for the purchase of two H135 rotorcraft to be utilized on emergency medical service (EMS) duties, and placed options for six more. In addition, this operator placed options for two H175s to support the company's business needs, whose operations also include power line monitoring and utility work.

At LIMA 15 in Langkawi, Malaysian company Global Company Turbine Asia Sdn Bhd (GTA) announced today the signature of an agreement with Europrop International (EPI) for technical support service of the TP400 engine. EPI is the manufacturer of the TP400 for the Airbus A400M military airlifter owned by the Royal Malaysian Air Force, which is currently making its first public appearance this week at LIMA 15'.
At LIMA 15 in Langkawi, Malaysian company Global Company Turbine Asia Sdn Bhd (GTA) announced today the signature of an agreement with Europrop International (EPI) for technical support service of the TP400 engine. BAE Systems has reached an agreement with SME Aerospace (SMEA), a premier metal-based aerospace manufacturer in the Malaysia, for the manufacture of additional pylons for the Hawk advanced jet trainer. The pylons, which include 16 onboard and 16 outboard, are being manufactured for a key BAE Systems' export customer.

The UK will move one of its communication satellites to the Asia Pacific region for the first time to deliver protected and secure satellite communications services. Defence Minister Philip Dunne confirmed at the Langkawi International Maritime & Aerospace (LIMA) exhibition in Malaysia, that Airbus will reposition one of the Skynet 5 satellites, providing the UK with secure communications and a greater ability to support regional humanitarian and peacekeeping operations.

The four members of the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force acrobatic team left for Malaysia earlier Wednesday in the Chinese made J-10 fighter jets, said Air Force spokesman Shen Jinke.

Airbus Defence and Space has formally delivered the first of four Airbus A400M military transport ordered by the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF). The handover also marks the first delivery of an A400M to an export customer outside the original launch nations. The aircraft was accepted at the A400M Final Assembly Line in Seville, Spain, on March 9 by Chief of Malaysian Defence Force General Tan Sri Dr Zulkifeli Mohd Zin.
