BlueBird Aero Systems, a leading global developer and provider of superior micro, mini and small tactical unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), has received an order worth tens of millions of euros from a European customer for the delivery of more than 150 vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) UAS of various categories.

Guided Grom bombs will expand the range of munitions for Okhotnik and Altius drones. They are heavy gliding bombs with a range of a hundred kilometers. Experts said the bombs will make drones capable of destroying strategic facilities in deep adversary rear and will remain invisible for radars, the Izvestia daily writes.

The U.S. State Department has approved a possible sale of four AT-6C Wolverine Light Attack Aircraft and related equipment, worth $325.8 million, to Tunisia under the U.S. Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program. The Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) delivered the required certification notifying Congress of this sale on February 25 2020.

India has signed a $930 million contract with the U.S. to procure six Boeing AH-64E Apache “Guardian” attack helicopters for the Indian Army and another contract to procure 24 Sikorsky MH-60R Seahawk helicopters destined to the Indian Navy. Both deals were signed on February 25 2020, on the sidelines of U.S. President Donald Trump’s ongoing visit to India.

Kongsberg Geospatial, an Ottawa-based aerospace and defense geospatial technology company, and MartinUAV of Plano, Texas, a world-leading developer of disruptive UAV technologies, announced today that they have teamed to pursue integrated Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance solutions for the Royal Canadian Navy and CANSOFCOM.

Azerbaijan is to buy Leonardo M-346 Master trainer and light attack aircraft, the country's president announced on 20 February. According to the "declaration by agreement' made by Minister of Defense, Colonel General Zakir Hasanov and CEO of Italian Leonardo company, Alessandro Profumo, Azerbaijan wants to buy in between 10 to 15 M-346 jets.

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp., a Lockheed Martin Co., Stratford, Connecticut, is awarded a $470,813,279 firm-fixed price modification to a previously-awarded fixed-price incentive-firm contract. This modification exercises options to procure six low rate initial production lot II VH-92A aircraft, interim contractor support and six cabin interior reconfiguration kits in support of the Presidential Helicopter Replacement Program.

Russian Helicopters holding company (part of Rostec State Corporation) completed validation of the type certificate for Ansat light multipurpose helicopter in the People's Republic of China. The validation of the type certificate by Chinese aviation authorities allows the company to commence the supplies of Ansat helicopters to China under a previously concluded contract.

The US Army recently awarded LONGBOW Limited Liability Company (LBL), a joint venture of Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman Corporation , a five-year sustainment indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract for up to $235.8 million to provide post production support services for the AH-64 Apache helicopter AN/APG-78 LONGBOW Fire Control Radar (FCR) to international customers.
