The French deployment to Malbork Airbase will free up the same number of Polish Air Force MiG-29 'Fulcrum' fighters to deploy to Siauliai Airbase in Lithuania as part of the NATO Baltic air policing mission. The Polish-led mission in Lithuania will be bolstered by four UK Royal Air Force (RAF) Eurofighter Typhoons at Siauliai Airbase, and four Royal Danish Air Force Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcons operating out of Amari Airbase in Estonia.

The converted weapon becomes the Dual Mode Brimstone and is a great British success story of innovation and enterprise. This has been accomplished through a combination of technical advances, cost effectiveness and the re-use of existing Brimstone missiles already in the Royal Air Force (RAF) inventory.

A modernized rocket launcher will soon enable MH-60 Seahawk helicopters to carry and deploy a variety of weapons for the first time. As part of an Early Operational Capability (EOC), the Navy delivered the new system, called the Digital Rocket Launcher, to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 15 in March for pre-deployment training.
