The trials were held to check the main power supplies and onboard equipment. Kamov test pilots operated the helicopter. The craft has previously held successful ground trials. It now has to undergo trials at the Kamov enterprise in Moscow. The third prototype with the other two will begin certification trials in the near future.

"Preparations for certification trials are accompanied by preparations for batch production of Ka-62 which is scheduled in 2020. The first helicopters are to be procured by Primorye regional administration. We shall begin batch production after certification trials are completed," Russian Helicopters CEO Andrey Boginsky said.

"We achieved a breakthrough in the production of Ka-62 prototypes. The helicopter has recently participated in MAKS-2019 airshow and performed solo and group flights. The craft triggered major interest of domestic and foreign guests. In September, two cooperation agreements for the promotion of Ka-62 helicopter were signed at the Eastern Economic Forum," Progress Managing Director Yuri Denisenko said.
