The deal includes the transfer of ownership and intellectual property rights for Terma’s F-16 Modular Reconnaissance Pod.

We look forward to combining Aselsan’s and our core capabilities to provide air forces with proven and reliable solutions,” Steen M. Lynenskjold , senior vice president of Terma, said.

Terma's Modular Reconnaissance Pod (MRP) programs started back in 1994, when we developed the MRP for the RDAF’s F-16. The MRP is now internationally certified and is operational in Denmark, The Netherlands, Belgium and USA and several other international F-16 users.

The MRP features a unique internal mounting system which allows installation of multiple sensor suites without re-certification.

Collaboration with Terma brings more benefit to our customers who will use the indigenous radar and electronic weapon systems designed and developed by Aselsan for fighters,” Oguz Sener, vice president of ASELSAN said.
