This training deployment demonstrates continuing U.S. commitment to regular, global strategic bomber operations throughout the Indo-Asia-Pacific region.

The US Air Force Global Strike Command continues to routinely deploy bombers to Andersen, providing commanders from Pacific Air Forces and U.S. Pacific Command a global strike capability and extended deterrence against potential adversaries.

The B-2 Spirit is a multi-role bomber capable of delivering both conventional and nuclear munitions. Its unrefueled range is approximately 6,000 nautical miles (9,600 kilometers) and it has a payload of 40,000 pounds (18,144 kilograms). The B-2's low observability is derived from a combination of reduced infrared, acoustic, electromagnetic, visual and radar signatures.

Twenty B-2 Spirit bombers are currently in active duty in the US Air Force.
