Boeing and Airbus Helicopters on March 25 signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to partner on the H-47 Chinook in support of Germany’s Schwerer Transporthubschrauber (STH) heavy-lift helicopter requirements.

US Air Force selects BAE Systems high frequency technology for radio modernization effort

The U.S. Air Force has selected BAE Systems, with support from FlexRadio, to provide software-defined radios for its Airborne High-Frequency Radio Modernization (AHFRM) program. The contract, which has a value of $176 million, provides a secure alternative to satellite communication methods.

AACC signs technical partnership with Derco to enhance Saudi C-130 Hercules aircraft MRO capabilities

Aircraft Accessories and Components Company (AACC), a subsidiary of SAMI, on March 24 announced that a signing of a Preferred Supplier Agreement with Derco, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, had taken place during the recent World Defense Show 2022 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The agreement will enable AACC to enhance its existing capabilities in serving the C-130 Hercules fleets of the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF).

Lockheed Martin delivers 500th C-130J Super Hercules

Hercules history is made once again, with the announcement that Lockheed Martin recently delivered its 500th C-130J Super Hercules airlifter. This Super Hercules (Lockheed Martin aircraft #5934) is a C-130J-30 aircraft assigned to the U.S. 130th Airlift Wing located at McLaughlin Air National Guard Base in Charleston, West Virginia. The 130th Airlift Wing is a longtime C-130 operator that is currently modernizing its legacy Hercules fleet with C-130Js.
