Royal Thai Army to fit weather radar on six more UH-60L Black Hawk helicopters


The Army Transportation Department of the Royal Thai Army announced on July 5 that the winner of the bidding to procure weather radars to be fitted on 6 more of its Sikorsky UH-60L utility helicopters is the Thai company Krin Aviation and Technology. The market is worth $ 4,183,869 (150,000,000 Thai baht), Defense Studies reports.

No further details are available on these six weather radar systems to be installed on the UH-60L Black Hawks of the 9th Aviation Battalion, Aviation Regiment, Army Aviation Center.

It is understood that such weather radar will have the same design as the one already mounted on the helicopter UH-60Ls number 7220 (08), 7221 (09), and 7222 (10), three3 machines that the Royal Thai Army received in 2013.
