CH-6 HALE UAV unveiled at Airshow China 2021


Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC) unveils the CH-6 high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) remotely piloted UAV at China AIrshow 2021, held in Zhuhai from September 28 to October 3, 2021.

The CH-6 is considered to be a high-altitude, long-endurance (HALE) unmanned system designed for intelligence gathering, support, and strike roles.

With a wingspan of 20.5 meters, CH-6 has a maximum takeoff weight of 7.8 tons and can carry a large range of payloads including electro-optic systems, synthetic aperture radar, early warning radars, electronic reconnaissance systems, air-to-ground missiles and bombs, anti-radiation missiles and loitering munitions, up to 450 kilograms.

The drone will be offered in two configurations: an ISR variant with a 120 kg payload capacity and 21-hour flight endurance, as well as a strike variant with a 450 kg payload capacity and 18-hour flight endurance.
