The Lockheed Martin (previously Lockheed) KC-130 is a family of the extended-range tanker version of the C-130 Hercules transport aircraft modified for aerial refueling.

These two KC-130H Hercules aircraft are part of the ten aircraft of that type they have recently been discharged from the Army Air of Spain to modernize its fleet of medium transport range with the addition of the Airbus A400.

The reception of the aircraft was chaired by the President of the Republic Francisco Sagasti, accompanied by the Minister of Defense, Nuria Esparch, the Commander General of the Peruvian Air Force, General of the Air Rodolfo Pereyra and the Charge d'Affaires of the Embassy of Spain in Peru Minister Counselor Gonzalo Maria Quinteros.

The General Commander of the FAP stressed that this acquisition increases institutional capacities, which constitutes an achievement for the country, since they will increase the number of flights for the transfer of material and medical personnel throughout the national territory, in the shortest possible time.

For his part, the President of the Republic highlighted the support work that the Hercules aircraft will carry out in the transfer of vaccines, maintenance of the cold chain and in the face of natural events carrying humanitarian aid, they will contribute to National Defense and the projection of interests national.
