Boeing awarded contract for Royal Saudi Air Force F-15SA Original Equipment Manufacturer Training Program


The U.S. Department of Defense announced on December 8 that Boeing has been awarded a $93,393,287 bilateral requirements contract modification to previously awarded contract FA3002-13-D-0012 for the Royal Saudi Air Force F-15SA Original Equipment Manufacturer Training Program. This modification adds an 18-month ordering period to the multi-year basic contract and involves 100 percent Foreign Military Sales to Saudi Arabia.

Work will be performed at King Khalid Air Base, Khamis Mushayt; King Faisal Air Base, Tabuk; and King Abdul Aziz Air Base, Dhahran, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and is expected to be completed by Dec. 31, 2023. Foreign Military Sales funds in the amount of $88,000,000 are being obligated at the time of award, and the cumulative face value of the contract is not to exceed $554,400,000. The contracting activity is the 338th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron, Joint Base San Antonio Randolph, Texas. (Awarded Dec. 6, 2021).

On December 14, 2020, it was announced that the Royal Saudi Air Force had received its F-15SA advanced fighter aircraft, marking the final delivery of the Boeing-produced aircraft as part of a $29bn foreign military sales (FMS) agreement signed in 2010. The aircraft was delivered by the U.S. Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), which manages all FMS cases for the Air Force. An advanced version of the F-15S, the F-15SA is equipped with several additional capabilities. The aircraft features a digital electronic warfare suite, fly-by-wire flight control system, Active Electronically Scanned Array radar, an infrared search-and-track system, advanced cockpit displays and Joint Helmet Mounted Cueing Systems.

The FMS programme included the delivery of 84 F-15SA Aircraft, associated spare parts, stores, simulators, training, technical documentation and base construction, as well as logistical and programme support.
