India’s Air Force will buy 18 new Su-30MKI fighter jets, Vladimir Drozhzhov, the deputy head of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, has said.

"We have lived up to our commitments to supply all tooling packages for Su-30MKI fighter jets and have received an additional application for another 18 tooling packages. The application is being studied," Drozhzhov went on to say.

According to him, Russia is considering a number of applications for delivery of military products to India. "We have received applications for delivery of more than 20 upgraded MiG-29 fighter jets and repairing about 450 T-90 tanks. We are studying these proposals before handing them over to the Indian side," he said.
