MAKS 2021: Rostec signed agreements worth over 230 Bn rubles for 161 aviation hardware units


Rostec said it had signed several agreements worth over 230 billion rubles for 161 aviation hardware units, including 77 aircraft at MAKS-2021 airshow: "Rostec organizations signed agreements for 161 aviation hardware units. The United Aircraft Corporation will supply 58 Sukhoi Superjet 100 and 19 regional Il-114-300 airplanes. Russian Helicopters signed an agreement to supply 84 helicopters, including Mi-171A3, Ka-62, Mi-38, Mi-8, Ansat," it said.

"Rostec displayed close to 500 products at the airshow, including 50 new ones: airplanes, helicopters, drones, avionics, engines, etc. They include Checkmate new tactical aircraft of the Sukhoi company. The results of the show exceeded expectations. Our companies signed agreements worth over 230 billion rubles," Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov said.

Rosoboronexport signed 13 export contracts worth over one billion dollars for Su-30SME jets, Mi-35M and Mi-17V5 helicopters, Protivnik-GE radar, Verba MANPADS, air weapons, armor and vehicles.

Furthermore, Russia intends to deliver Sukhoi Su-30SM (NATO reporting name: Flanker-H) multirole fighter jets to the Belarusian and Kazakh air forces, Director of the Federal Service for Military and Technical Cooperation Dmitry Shugayev told TASS at the MAKS 2021 aerospace show: "Further supplies of Su-30SM planes to Belarus and Kazakhstan are planned," Shugayev said. Su-30SM fighters make up the mainstay of the Belarusian and Kazakh fighter fleets.

The Su-30SM (SM standing for serial-produced, modernized) is a 4++ generation highly-maneuverable two-seat fighter jet. It is powered by two AL-31FP afterburning turbofan engines with thrust vector control. The plane has an operating range of 1,500 kilometers (932 miles) and a fuel endurance of 3.5 hours.
