The contract for the delivery of 12 attack helicopters has been signed and the supplies of combat craft will begin in 2018. Long negotiations on terms and conditions were completed during a recent visit to Uzbekistan by Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin," the source said.

A Rosoboronexport delegation is currently in Uzbekistan to hold negotiations in the Defense Ministry and the State Committee for defense industry. "Russian experts arrived upon an invitation of the Uzbek side. Practical measures are being taken to implement the agreement on military-technical cooperation signed in November last year," the source said.

The agreement was signed in Moscow to promote mutually beneficial cooperation in the military-technical sphere, in particular, the arming of Uzbek troops with perspective arms and hardware, as well as repairs, modernization, servicing and utilization of military products.

Combat-transport Mi-35M destroy armor and provide fire support to ground forces, transport troops, evacuate the wounded, transport cargoes and engage in other missions. The helicopters are armed with high-precision weapons and can fulfil missions round-the-clock in any weather.
