"Within the scope of some projects carried out in coordination with the Presidency of Defense Industries, F-16 aircraft and other aircraft belonging to the (Turkish) Air Force will carry out low and high altitude test flights on Monday and Tuesday [November 25 and 26] in the skies of Ankara," the governorate said, despite pressure from Washington for Turkey to drop the system.

Russia delivered two batteries of the S-400 system to Turkey between July  and September.

As a reminder, Ankara’s purchase of the S-400s has been a major factor souring relations with the United States, which says the system is not compatible with NATO defenses and poses a threat to Lockheed Martin’s  F-35 stealth fighter jets.
