"As the nucleus of the piloting and navigational complexes of medium helicopter drones (250-2000 kg), the KPBA designed a duplicate flight control calculator VUP-MBV with two independent precision satellite receivers and a signal transformation unit BPS-MBV," KRET First Deputy CEO Vladimir Zverev said.

"It interfaces the piloting and navigational complex with onboard equipment with various non-standard input and output characteristics," he added.

KRET displays VUP-MBV which interacts with sensors and drivers by six CAN interfaces and has an additional possibility to switch four Enternet channels, four RS-232 channels and two FlexRay channels. The calculator ensures navigation and automatic control of unmanned helicopter movement, flight trajectory control by discrete radio commands from the operator’s place or automatically by the command put into VUP-MBV before the takeoff. It contains two independent satellite receivers used in navigational calculations. Visitors will see signal transformation unit to integrate sensors with various interfaces and CAN magistral highway. The unit has a duplicate CAN receiver-transmitter to operate with duplicate CAM highway.

"The software of the calculator controls the unmanned helicopter automatically and manually by the operator and in combined regimes at takeoff, flight, landing at airfields and unequipped sites. It allows using unmanned helicopters for cargo transportation, rescue operations, fire extinguishing, Arctic development, ice monitoring," Zverev said.
