Air Force of India approves the purchase for 75 Pilatus PC-7 Mk II basic trainer aicraft.
 
The Indian Finance Ministry has cleared the deal for 75 Pilatus PC-7 Mk II basic trainer aircraft. The deal is worth $565-million (Rs 2,900-crore). "The deal will be presented to the Cabinet next week for final clearance. Contract signature will follow soon after," Browne said.

The Pilatus PC-7 Mk II Turbo Trainer is a low-wing tandem-seat training aircraft, manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland.

The Pilatus PC-7 Mk II Turbo Trainer is a low-wing tandem-seat training aircraft, manufactured by Pilatus Aircraft of Switzerland. The aircraft is capable of all basic training functions including aerobatics, instrument, tactical and night flying.
