The Royal Thai Police has received two H175 helicopters from Airbus Helicopters, making it the first in Asia Pacific to operate the newest rotorcraft, the French rotorcraft maker announced today, Oct. 3. The Royal Thai Police will be using this super medium aircraft, equipped with the latest aircraft technology and capabilities, for VVIP transportation and various police missions.

Engineers from BAE Systems together with students from Cranfield University, have revealed a new technology concept – named Adaptable UAVs – which can alternate between the two different flight modes in the same mission, the British company unveiled on Sept. 29. When in rotary wing mode the UAVs can be launched and recovered from battlefields and docked on a special pole.
