On 17th March, 2016, five Mirage 2000D (M 2000D) fighter jets, along with Rafale fighters, fired SCALP missiles during a raid against Daesh, the French Ministry of Defense announced on its website on Friday. The M 2000D and Rafale jets together launched eight SCALP-EG missiles on a Daesh's command post in Hit, center of Iraq.

The United States and Philippine have reached an agreement that allows for rotational deployment of US military forces at five bases, amid an ongoing standoff with China over the South China Sea. The deal was announced on Friday, when the two countries issued a joint statement listing the bases as Antonio Bautista Air Base, Basa Air Base north of Manila, Lumbia Air Base in Mindanao, Mactan-Benito Ebuen Air Base in Cebu, as well as Fort Magsaysay in Palayan.
