Three variants of the C-130J Super Hercules aircraft were recently delivered to U.S. military operators from the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics facility, the US aircraft manufacturer announced Tuesday, March 24. The three aircraft are an MC-130J Commando II Special Operations tanker, an HC-130J Combat King II and an HC-130J long-range SAR aircraft.

Northrop Grumman announced yesterday, March 25, it has been selected by the Royal Canadian Air Force to provide infrared missile protection on its fleet of CH-147F Chinook transport helicopters. "Battle-tested in the harshest conditions and in use around the world, Northrop Grumman's infrared countermeasure systems have been protecting warfighters for more than 50 years," said Carl Smith, vice president, infrared countermeasures, Northrop Grumman.

Today, March 25, the acceptance ceremony of the first two Indian Air Force Mirage 2000 I/TI was held at Istres, Dassault Aviation’s Flight Test Centre, under the high patronage of HE Ambassador Arun K. Singh, the Indian Ambassador to France, announced the French aircraft manufacturer. The ceremony was hosted by Eric Trappier, Dassault Aviation Chairman & CEO, and Pierre Eric Pommellet, Thales Executive Vice President, Defence Mission Systems.

The US DoD announced today it has awarded Beechcraft Defense a $27,048,576 contract for purchase of one King Air 350 extended range aircraft modified with intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance capability; one Scorpion ground station and one complete spare Scorpion ground station for the Iraqi armed Forces.. Work is expected to be complete by March 23, 2017.

The manufacturing of the rotorcrafts will be performed by Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, Connecticut. The eight Black Hawk are to be delivered to Tunisia by December 2016.
