Pilatus Aircraft Ltd is delighted to announce that the Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) has signed a contract for the purchase of nine Pilatus PC-9 M training aircraft. The order also includes a simulator, training equipment and a comprehensive logistics support package, the Swiss company announced today August 10.

Thales has been awarded a contract by the U.S. Air Force (USAF) to provide Deployable Instrument Landing Systems (D-ILS). The systems will be used in airfield environments where the ability to provide precision guidance to aircraft on final approach during low visibility or low-ceiling weather conditions – while also being able to quickly setup, activate, break-down and re-locate – are critical.

Lockheed Martin delivered another C-5M Super Galaxy to the U. S. Air Force on Aug. 5. A Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) aircrew ferried the aircraft from the Lockheed Martin facility here to Travis Air Force Base, in Fairfield, California, where it will be permanently based. It will be the 12th Super Galaxy assigned to Travis, the defense giant announced Thursday August 6.

BAE Systems Australia has been selected to deliver operational maintenance for the Royal Australian Air Force’s (RAAF’s) Hawk 127 Lead-In Fighter fleet. From 1 July 2016, 116 new employees will deliver all maintenance support on the flight line to the Hawk fleet at RAAF Bases Williamtown and Pearce, directly supporting the training of Australia’s next generation of combat aircrew.

The Spanish defence ministry's budget for 2016, which was presented in parliament on Tuesday, sets aside 25 million euros ($27 million) to buy four reconnaissance drones and two ground stations.

More than 10 jets of the type should be delivered to the customer this year,” a source said.

The Royal Thai Air Force (RTAF) plans to create two squadrons of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), the first of their kind in Thailand, pending budget approval, unveiled the Bangkok Post on Saturday, August 1st. Royal thai Air Force Commander Air Chief Marshal Tritos Sonchaeng said the squadrons will be based at Wing 4 in Nakhon Sawan, which is currently made up of four squadrons of Lead-in jet fighters, F-16 fighter jets, and Arava patrol aircraft.
