On 17th March, 2016, five Mirage 2000D (M 2000D) fighter jets, along with Rafale fighters, fired SCALP missiles during a raid against Daesh, the French Ministry of Defense announced on its website on Friday. The M 2000D and Rafale jets together launched eight SCALP-EG missiles on a Daesh's command post in Hit, center of Iraq.

The deal was announced on Friday, when the two countries issued a joint statement listing the bases as Antonio Bautista Air Base, Basa Air Base north of Manila, Lumbia Air Base in Mindanao, Mactan-Benito Ebuen Air Base in Cebu, as well as Fort Magsaysay in Palayan.
