Voronezh Aircraft to get first parts of Il-112V light military airlifter in April
 
Aviastar-SP facility (a subsidiary of the United Aircraft Corporation/UAC) will provide first parts of Il-112V light military-transport plane to Voronezh Aircraft Plant (a subsidiary of UAC) in April 2016, according to the Aviastar-SP`s director general, Sergey Dementiev.

"First supplies (of Il-112V parts) to the Voronezh plant will start in April 2016. The production of the components has already been launched", Dementiev said.

The panels of fuselage sections, doors and hatches will be produced as a part of Il-112V program. The Voronezh Aircraft Plant will do the final assembly of the plane. Il-112V light military transport aircraft will be made of Russian components, according to several sources.

The Il-112V light military transport aircraft is, with a capacity of 6t, intended to replace An-24 (NATO reporting name: Coke) and An-26 (Curl) transport planes. Russian Armed Forces are supposed to get 62 Il-112V aircraft. The plane is equipped with new avionics suite and glass cockpit. The first stage of Il-112V state trials is supposed to be started in 2017.
