Their arrival marks the commitment of the United States to support its allies. Moreover, the Commander of US Air Forces in Europe and Air Forces Africa, Gen. Frank Gorenc said: “This F-22 training deployment is the perfect opportunity for the advanced aircraft to train alongside other U.S. Air Force aircraft, joint partners and NATO allies.”

Since it's the second time that Raptors deploy to Europe, it is an opportunity for USAF to test the infrastructure and the aircraft capabilities in the region.

For these reasons, the F-22 fighter aircraft will also deploy to other air bases around Europe, implementing training scenarios with allied countries, while acting as a deterrent force against any risks that destabilize European security.
