Bell Helicopter announced on April 10 a signed contract with Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) for the supply of seven Bell 412EPI helicopters to the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG). The aircraft will support the CCG’s maritime security and fisheries activities and will contribute to the safety, accessibility, sustainability and security of Canadian waters.

After a series of twists and turns almost befitting its size, the multi-billion dollar deal for new fighter jets for the Indian Air Force has hit the last mile with a firm political push by the NDA government to iron out differences and wrap up negotiations with an out-of-the-box solution to end a two-year-old deadlock. In the initial phase, 36 Rafale fighters will be bought off the shelf and negotiations will continue for manufacturing more in India at a later stage.

The United States has started daily aerial refueling for warplanes in the Saudi-led coalition carrying out air strikes against the Iranian-backed Houthi rebels in Yemen, the Pentagon said Wednesday. The first refueling flight took place on Tuesday night with a U.S. Air Force KC-135 Stratotanker providing fuel for a F-15 fighter jet operated by Saudi Arabia and an F-16 flown by the United Arab Emirates, spokesman Colonel Steven Warren told reporters.

This new batch of ISR aircraft will be used by the US Army. Work will be performed in Bridgewater, Virginia, with an estimated completion date of July 17, 2015.
